Hello everybody! I’ve started a new workout program. For me it’s something that’s a little different from the previous programs I’ve been on. I’ve been used to doing five day splits all the time, because I would only stick to working one muscle group per day. Instead of going back to the good ‘ol five day split, I’ve switched it up to a three day split! I’m VERY excited about this change! I’m doing my lifts on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, I’m working on cardio and maybe some core.
Not only am I doing a three day split, I’m also doing two-a-days! When I get up in the morning, I go to the gym to lift some heavy weight…ONLY heavy weight!
It’s more about Power Lifting. I’m going for about 4 sets of 5. In the evenings, I go back to the gym for more of a bodybuilding workout. For the second round, I work the same muscle groups that I did in the previous workout, but I use lighter weight and the repetitions are higher. The second workout is much more fast pace.
Here’s a small breakdown of what I’ll be doing during the week:
- Monday: Chest and Triceps
- Tuesday: Cardio and Core
- Wednesday: Back and Biceps
- Thursday: Cardio and Core
- Friday: Shoulder and Legs
